The Foster Care System My experience in care was not a breeze. I had a very hard time in care. My case workers were not engaging like how they were supposed to. They put me on all types of body harming medications and forced me to take them. They stuck me in placements and didn't contact me for months. My CASA The Court assigned me a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) worker and that was the best thing that could have happened for me. I gave her a hard time at first, but she broke me. I love her for not giving up on me. I'm now out of care and my CASA isn't my CASA exactly, but she is still like my CASA. She is helping me learn how to drive and helping me get my driver's license. She still keeps in contact with me as well as helping me become the best adult I can be. About the Author:
