After over 30 years of providing advocacy to thousands of children in foster care, Savannah CASA has evolved to serve more families and children in crisis. Under the new name Brightside Child & Family Advocacy, this organization provides a wide range of services aiming to prevent child abuse and neglect in Chatham County.
IMPACT
Brightside Advocacy’s service to families experiencing foster care is vital to the health and well-being of our entire community. By supporting children and strengthening families during some of their most challenging moments, Brightside helps prevent abuse and neglect, promotes stability, and works toward safe, permanent homes for children. When families receive the advocacy, resources, and guidance they need, children are better able to heal, succeed in school, and build healthy relationships. This work not only changes individual lives—it strengthens our community as a whole by breaking cycles of trauma, reducing long-term social costs, and ensuring that every child has the opportunity to grow up safe, supported, and hopeful.
