Official Rules – Brightside Advocacy Golf Cart Raffle
Sponsor: Brightside Child & Family Advocacy, Inc. (“Brightside Advocacy”), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization located in Savannah, Georgia, is conducting this raffle to raise funds for programs that support children impacted by foster care and family crisis.
Raffle Dates: Ticket sales begin upon publication of these rules and end just prior to the drawing at the conclusion of our Creating Brighter Futures event on Tuesday, September 9, 2025.
Ticket Prices: Raffle entries may be purchased at the following tiers: 1 Ticket – $25; 5 Tickets – $100, 15 Tickets – $250, 40 Tickets – $500
There is no limit to the number of tickets an eligible individual may purchase. The more tickets you buy, the better your odds—and the brighter the future we create together.
Eligibility: Must be 18 years or older and a legal U.S. resident to purchase or hold a ticket. Employees of Brightside Advocacy (including part-time, full-time, and contracted staff) are not eligible to win.
How to Enter: Tickets may be purchased online at www.brightsideadvocacy.org/golfcart. Purchasers will receive an email confirmation. Each ticket purchased is considered one entry. No physical tickets will be issued; your confirmation and assigned numbers are securely recorded.
Drawing & Oversight: The drawing will be held at the conclusion of of our Creating Brighter Futures event on September 9, 2025.
Winner does not need to be present to win. The winning ticket will be drawn randomly, and the drawing will be overseen by three independent, unrelated individuals with no stake in the outcome. The winner will be notified by phone and/or email and announced publicly via Brightside’s website and social media platforms.
Prize Details: One winner will receive a custom golf cart provided by Hawg’s Golf Carts & ATVs. Approximate retail value of $10,000. All taxes, registration, title fees, and other expenses related to the prize are the sole responsibility of the winner.
Odds of Winning: Odds depend on the total number of tickets sold. There is no maximum number of entries.
Claiming the Prize: The winner must claim the prize within 30 days of the drawing. Brightside will assist with delivery arrangements if within a 50-mile radius of Savannah, GA. Transportation outside this area is the responsibility of the winner.
Taxes & Legal: Brightside will issue a Form 1099-MISC for the prize, as required by IRS regulations. Winner is solely responsible for any applicable federal, state, or local taxes. Consult a tax advisor if you have questions—golf carts are fun, but the IRS is not.
General Terms: The raffle is void where prohibited by law.
By purchasing a ticket, participants agree to abide by these rules and release Brightside Advocacy from any liability arising from participation. Brightside reserves the right to modify or cancel the raffle if unforeseen circumstances arise (but we really hope they don’t).
Publicity Release: By accepting the prize, the winner grants permission for Brightside Advocacy to use their name, likeness, and city/state in promotional materials unless prohibited by law or specifically requested otherwise.
